Hello family,

Acts 2:42 gives us the four pillars of the church. "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." The four foundations of Christian community are these:
1. Teaching from the Word of God
2. Fellowship that always includes testimony
3. The Lord's Supper/ Communion
4. Prayer
These four are to take place whenever we gather, whenever we eat. There is no fellowship for believers apart from fellowship with Jesus Christ.

Small Group Meetings will begin the first Wednesday in September. They start at 7:00 p.m. and finish at 8:30 p.m. Check the web site for a location near you.

Be blessed,

Pastors Terry & Phyllis

Please keep David and Mayra in prayer as they care for Joel and Hannah. Both children have stomach problems.

Keep Anthony and Mary in prayer also as Analise also has stomach issues as well.

Our long time friend Paula Abbot has been in Indonesia working as a missionary with her husband, she had a brain tumor that was removed yesterday. As a side effect she has contracted another disease that causes great damage to the body. She has a long year of recovery ahead and needs our prayers for a miracle.

Throughout history man has waged many wars. A war is organized and reciprocal destruction and is comprised of individual battles. Many of these battles are staged and fought as a means of distraction, in order to lure an opposing force away from their enemy’s primary target. Near the conclusion of WWII, in what would be the largest naval battle in history, the Japanese purposely sacrificed a fleet of 13 ships and 4 carriers loaded with kamikaze style bombers in order to draw the US war ships out of the Leyte Gulf. The goal was to divert the US’s defenses and attention away from the rest of the Japanese Navy who were in the midst of attempting a sneak attack on the real objective, the Island of Leyte.

Are we not once again currently engaged in a great war? I am not speaking of the Iraq War; I am referring to the war for our eternal existence. It is the intent of our enemy’s forces to keep us occupied with the battle of our flesh while the evil one himself attacks the primary target, our minds!

Church, pray for me as I move all of my forces to the frontline of the real battle and engage in an all out offensive against Satan, for why should I continue to fight for what is already dead?

Thank you Lord Jesus for the Victory in this World War!

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds ;) Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. – 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
